"My obsession for makeup started at eleven years old. For me, it was all about blue eye shadow and pink lip gloss - the blue eye shadow may have come and gone, but pink lip gloss has left a lasting impression. Breaking into the business during college, I found that making women look their best, mad me feel the best. I believe that beauty starts inside and works its way out. Every woman has her own individual beauty and makeup is the ultimate accessory. I’m lucky to be in the makeup industry, because for as much as I enjoy creating beauty in others, I love buying and trying it for myself"
A makeup artist for almost eight years, Joe’ specializes in a naturally beautiful face. She has worked with many of today’s top cosmetic retailers such as Girl Cosmetics, Chanel, Prada , Lancome, and Stila. Joe’ also values the time she has spent working along side world renowned artists Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier. Along with makeup for commercials and movies, Joe’ specializes in special occasion and bridal makeup.
My fascination with makeup began at around seven years old. My mother did a short stint with MaryKay and I’ll never forget those little pink pots. I studied fine art in school but everyone was always asking me to do their makeup. It was then that I realized that I prefer a canvas that can talk. Painting the face is a limitless art form as each person brings me a new and interesting perspective. Bridal makeup is the ultimate masterpiece. There is no greater working environment than one of the happiest days in a person’s life. I love knowing that my work will be immortalized in cherished wedding photos to be enjoyed for generations.
Amy has been working as a makeup artist for nearly ten years. Nine of them as a resident artist in prestigious retailers such as Saks fifth Avenue, Nieman Marcus, and Henri Bendel. She has worked with the top makeup artist lines like Laura Mercier, Lorac, Smashbox, and for the last six years at Saks for Bobbi Brown. Amy has done hundreds of special occasion makeups as well as makeup for publication, short film and stage.
